Summer Trends

Stylish WenchOk, so we haven’t exactly had a great start to summer on the weather-front, BUT that is no excuse for bad clothes. Style is recognised in ALL weather (so make sure it’s GOOD style you’re known for) and rain, despite it’s downsides (and down pours) can be great for looking good.

All you need are the following items;
1. A raincoat (yes COAT not a jacket)
2. A beautiful umbrella
(bright colours are always a good choice as they cheer you up on gloomy days)
3. A hat (often forgotton or pushed to the back of a drawer. But it is great for rain or wind (well not gale force wind but “normal” wind is fine) as it keeps you looking pretty without your bedraggled hair stealing away all the attention from your great clothes and fab make up)

NOTE: The oil-slick, chip-pan hair a la grease or rain is a Big NO NO, and looks good on no-one. Got that? NO-ONE. Avoid at ALL costs. Great now we can move on…

Summer trends:

1. TRIBAL
Always useful, especially if you venture abroad. Look the part in suede and thick canvas fabrics or lightweight linen. Always in neutral tones of beige, cream, brown etc. Fringes are a MUST! Think Ethnic Boho. Prints in ornages, khaki and again brown look great with this trend. Adorn with turquioise jewellery or gold headband – this should be the only bright tone to the outfit.

2. PRETTY
Ever popular. Flirty florals, soft fabrics, pale nude colours. Summer is the time to embrace your inner goddess so take FULL advantage and celebrate the goddess you are. Gold and broze make up adds subtle glamour to this look, otherwise keep make up simple and pretty, mascara and pale lipgloss.

3. BOLD
For the daring! The sun is shining (well it WILL be, think positive!) and holidays are on the horizon so acid brights are fab for this time of year. Think Fushia, canary yellow, neon blue (not all together ofcourse). Choose one bright shade and team it with a neautral cardigan and sandals and a long simple neklace for a stylish bang on trend look. Think Cupcake, NOT fruitcake and you can’t go wrong.

xx
