Hello Autumn Monsoon and Goodbye sun, it looks like summer barely started before it was over, which means that most of you will be going down south, or at least somewhere abroad in search for a bit of sun.
Stylish Wench here, and seems like all the talk lately is of travel & holidays, so I have a few golden rules for you before you go….Don’t listen to anyone who tells you that you cannot ALWAYS look glamourous and amazing, they are lying….Here are a few ideas to help you look great all through your holidays:
1. In the Airport…Do NOT wear an obscene amount of make up or jewellery – think how celebs do it – a pair of shades, minimal but stylish COMFY clothes and a pair of converses. Tint your eyebrows before you go and wear just a hint of lip and cheek colour and a little mascara – gorgeous and chic! This make-up will also do well for during the day on holiday, for night just add a bit more colour to the eyes or lips. Benefit do a marvellous lip and cheek stick at the moment, as do Clinique and Bougeois.
2. On the Plane.. Your skin may get dry, so spritz it with a little water spray or add a bit of moisteriser. Since you only have a little make-up on, it should be easy to re-apply. ALWAYS carry face wipes – they are always useful!
3. The MOST important rule of holidays is SUNCREAM. You are not invincible to the suns rays, nor do you have skin as thick as a rhino to protect you against skin cancer, and unless you want to look like an old leather handbag or albeit, a rhino’s backside by the time you reach 30, I suggest you slap on some sun cream. Factor 15 is fine for most skins, but be sensible, and NEVER use cooking oil on your skin, unless of course you do in fact literally want to be cooked.
4. Wear a hat during peak sun hours, and use a little moisturiser, or conditioner on the ends of your hair in the day, and leave until the night. It will help protect and keep it shiny.
5. Feet! …Yes, so many people worry about their figures, they forget their feet which are equally important. Soak them for 5 minutes in cold peppermint tea and then moisturise, this will replenish them and they will look great.
Well those are my 5 holiday rules, follow them and you will see that you do indeed look great during your holiday. If you don’t, you will learn…
Until next time..have fun
The Stylish Wench
